Well it got to 5F today. Yeeee Haaaaa But seriously the snow is just incredible and here is one benefit the the frigged record breaking cold we have had. Every night it got so cold that it pulled all the moisture out of the air and gave us 1″ of fresh each day. Makes for nice smooth turns.

Infact it was just let the skis go today. Sunny. No wind. Just point the skis because the snow is so soft. I dare anybody to find some icy spots right now.

OK here is the “NO BS” info. Around 1 am tonight it is going to start snowing, however by 5 am it will be freezing Rword and then Rword until late Sunday afternoon. Then a cold snap is going to hit us and we all know what that does. But by following the radar image above it looks like right now we are in between where all the moisture is. Hopefully it will stay that way until the jet stream comes back down bringing cold air with it changing the Rword to snow.

Starting off the day. Beauchemin to Lowell Thomas, to Fuddle Duddle. The snow was not to bad, but there were ice patches and it was firm everywhere on the mtn

Yes we are supposed to get snow on Monday. I have no idea as to how much. All I know is that it will take the snow crew and groomers 2-3 days to fix the runs. Yes ITW will open runs on Monday but most will have ice balls everywhere.

Now today the Edge chair had it’s problems once again and was closed for a while. Only Toboggan was open on the Soleil area.

Folks this happens in the East Coast, but trust me some heavy duty snow storms are on the back door of this, but you all need to do your snow dances and keep positive snow flake thoughts.

Boy are my legs tired after the last 3 days. Above is a photo of Sissy Schuss. No kidding. Many of us were hiking the expo and still getting fresh tracks on every trail there.

OK the snow guns are going like grazy. Serious crazy so be careful tomorrow and this weekend with the 24 hr Grand Prix Charity Race going on.

Now the Edge chair is supposed to open this weekend and all of it’s terrain. Please be mindful that it is early season and to still use your rock skis.

Well I’m just tired as heck folks and allot more snow is on the way. Look for videos of all the 24hr concerts and events this weekend.
