Well today I did 19,723 vertical feet, but had to stop because the temps warmed up and the snow became very sticky. And when it is sticky you can’t cover to much vertical so I quit around 2pm today.

I ran into this nice couple on Saturday. Since we are trying to feed the hungry I thought it would be nice to show the beauty of a young family with their babies enjoying a meal. ![]()

This band was really good in the village
Well yesterday and today I’ve been on a rain hold here unfortunately. When it is this wet the skis won’t even move across the snow, and it is dangerous to ski. I’m hoping things clear up her in about an hour so I get get more laps going, but Sunday was a complete washout.

First off I would like to thank the following business’s that have helped us out
Aspen
The St Moritz Hotel for giving us a discount on our stay. Aspen Ski Company for the discounted lift tickets.
Whistler
Water Mark Communications for giving us our lift passes. Helps more than you realize.
Tremblant
Daniel Lachance Ski service www.daniellachanceskiservice.com for all the ski help and support for this trip.
Vertical totals start tomorrow.
Think Snow

Well it started snowing Friday morning at 10am and snowed until 1am. However, the temps dropped to -26C or -9F Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr skiing for Saturday. Lifts were delayed opening so I did not ski Saturday. All these videos are from Friday. And Friday just Rocked.

Boy where to start. Well after doing a few runs I ran into Sammy from “Daniel Lachance Ski Service” and Laura from “La Diable” microbrew. So I decided to show them the goods, but first we went down the 10 Trail for this money shot.
Money shot with Sammy sliding fallen tree
I’m not kidding. Today was just magical. The snow was lite dry and just perfect. Temps in the lower 20’s F or -4 to -5C. Sun came out from time to time but mostly it snowed on top of the mtn and on the north side all day long. The south side did have some wind.

Gang you will want to see all of the videos from this magical powder day.

I ran into these kids this morning that just wanted to be on film. It was their very first day using ski poles and they did a very good job. ![]()
And I have to tell you it was a beautiful day. Temps got up to 10F, but the sun with low humidity made it feel warmer.
Well we only did get 4″ total of snow over night. It was light dry and very nice. Oh and today was colder as I said in my morning live report. However, Vertige, Zig Zag, Expo, Grand Prix, Geant, Tunnel, Fuddle Duddle, and especially Superior need some grooming done.
Ahh yes. Freshies
Superior in the slot (island of trees at the top of the run) is dangerously icy on both sides. It looks like the cats are not grooming in this section of the run at all. It is icy and rutted in just after the trees. Staying to the left of the trees is the better option.
More freshies
Vertige and Zig Zag’s have little volkswagon ice bumps. We need to get the winch cat in there. Grand Prix is rather chalky from the Races over the weekend. Every trail that has some bumps on it are getting rather hard.
Ending the day with a top to bottom. Nice and smooth in the sunshine going down to the village at 3pm
Now more snow is coming tomorrow. The morning it will be cold but warming up throughout the day with the clouds coming in bringing the snow. Look for my morning live Report at 7:15am to update you on trails for the day and other weather updates, events, lodging deals, and nightlife news.
