Tremblant Snow Report w/video’s 7Jan2010

Well over the last 3 days the top of the mtn has been in this snowmaking fog making visibility about 25meters in front of you when you get off of the gondola. When you get on slope it is zero until mid mountain. Made video’s tough. I’m working on clearing them up now………….
The misty freezing drizzle is gone. This made for very tricky skiing, because you were constantly cleaning your goggles.
**note** in this kind of weather never take your goggles off of your face on slope. Only take off goggles inside. Main reason why is because the felt on your goggles will get wet and cause fogging on the inside if you take them off of your face in these outdoor skiing conditions. When you get inside take your goggles off and gently blot the goggle felt with a napkin to dry. DO TOUCH THE LENS WITH NAPKIN. Only wipe the lens with the cloth provided by manufacturer.
Laurentian and Tashereau were groomed and great snow. Races were held on Upper Beavalon and Nanson. Snowmaking is going everywhere.
And I want to give a personal “atta-boy” to the VIP parking staff at Station Tremblant. A customer today left their windows down. SMT parking staff put plastic over the cars windows and secured the belongings for the people. Great job guys.
As I said above working on clearing up some videos for you from the last two days. But here is a photo slide show for you in the mean time.
