Tremblant Snow Report w/video 29Jan2010

Well it snowed like crazy until about 1am, and then the deep cold plunge hit us with high winds. La Soleil and Duncan chairs never opened today because of the cold. Meaning 1/3 of the mtn was shut off, but nobody was here. Cat’s unfortunately groomed everything after it finished snowing :(

Be mindful in these cold temps to stay hydrated and to eat. Tomorrow is supposed to be cold as well.

Tremblant Snow Report w/video 28Jan2010 POWDER DAY

Wow. Just wow. Woke up to another powder day. It was snowing lightly all day long, but at 2pm it just started dumping and hasn’t stopped yet. About 8″ so far.

Tremblant Snow Report w/video 26Jan2010

Yeeeeeee haaaaaaaa. It snowed and is still snowing. Great nice big dump we are getting. Take that rain event from yesterday and kiss his sorry butt goodbye. We had a powder day.

I knew today was going to be a great day when I ran into this young couple kissing at the bottom of the slope. Why? They just got engaged. Congratulation to the future Mr.&Mrs. Jason Silverberg. May life’s blessings always follow you. You gave us a powderday, so I’m sure luck is always with you.

Well we’ve received 4-6″ during the day. Has been still snowing since the mtn closed. Heavy on the mtn at times. Tomorrow is going to rock man. Seriously rock. Tremblant is about to come alive. Frankly if you are not here tomorrow that means the more freshies for me. hehehehehehehe

Look to the 8am live report for more info on www.tremblant-insider.com

Tremblant Snow Report w/video 22-25Jan2010

Folks I’m not going to lie to you. It’s been raining now since 2am last night. Lightly, but had 4 hours of pretty heavy rain. We are supposed to get some snow on the backside of this. And the snowguns are going to go back on after the temps drop. But anything I could report about the conditions over the last 3 days is tossed out the window, because it is “moot” now.

I will not know what the conditions are like and what kind of turn around we will need to get the slopes going until I can get on them tomorrow. And seeing how much snow falls over night on the back side of this. Look to my 8am live report to see what we’ve got.

Check out the parc jumps at the beginning of the video.

Tremblant Snow Report w/video 20Jan2010

Well guess what. The monster fog left us today. Skiing was great. Nokidding. Conditions were pretty darn good. Some icy spots as the day worn on, but there was nobody here to ski today. You had the mtn all to yourself. So of course I was gasing it.

Grand Prix was closed for racers, but everything else was fair game. Still stay out of the glades until this weekend when that storm hits us. Well I need my sleep.

Tremblant Snow Report 19 Jan 2010

Well there is no way to say it. The monster 2 week fog continues. Skiing by brail basically. All that shows up on the video camera is the fog. I feel like I’m skiing in a bad Horror ski flick sometimes.

Now over all we did get another inch of snow this morning. And it is spitting flurries/light snow now. Visiability is supposed to be better tomorrow so look for the video.

Grand Prix was closed for Races. Bonzai, had rocks really bad. So did Tunnel. Devils River had the best snow and visibility. South side you could not see to ski at all. If I did not know the mtn I would not have skied today.

Slideshow of 2011 skis

Skis I was on today were the New K2 Hardside, Seth, Fugi, Side Stash. Loved them all but my fav is the sidestash. I was amazed how this ski carved on ice considering it was 111mm underfoot. Rocker skis are where it is at.

Tremblant Snow Report 18Jan09

Well we need snow. This fog drizzle has basically been with us for two weeks now. Geant has rocks on it. The following runs are extremely rocky and I do not recommend skiing them until we get snow.

1. Edge glades (all of them)
2. Saute Mountons
3. Les Rapids
4. Boiling Kettle
5. Expo
6. Frippe
7.Danzig
8.Vertige
9. Zig Zag
10. Tunnell
11. Bonzai
12. MCA
13. Buzz buzz glades
15. Windigo glades

NSIA with the 2011 skis/snowboards are here this week so look for videos of the new stuff tomorrow. Sorry for no videos for the last couple of days but with this fog drizzle it is almost impossible to show you anything because the visibility is so poor. Here is a slide show for now.

Doing a live broadcast from NSIA tomorrow morning.
