Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski&Snow Report w/videos “MAR 31″

Well surprisingly the mountain got an extra 1 1/2″ of snow over nite. Made things rather nice this morning, but the following runs and areas were not open today. Areas Edge and LaSoleil were closed. Danzig, Frip, ZigZag, Vertige, Grandprix, Geant, Superior trails were closed today. Actually if they got those cats on those trails after this snow tomorrow will be perfect.

LeGriffe was very nice today.

Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski&Snow Report w/videos “MARCH 28/29

I met up Saturday with Ted and Marc that last summer won a day of skiing with me from the Childrens Hospital Charity Tourney last summer.
Devils River had great snow

Well folks right now it is lightly snowing. But all day long Sunday and mostly today we got a lot of rain. There are bare spots everywhere with pole markers. Many trails are closed. But Saturday was a great sunny day of skiing.

If you look closely you will see one poor woman all the way at the end with all the guys at the other.

Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski&Snow Report w/Videos “WEAR SUNSCREEN”

Well today all the cats were once again working on the Spin Fest big air jump. Meaning some grooming on the rest of the mtn was neglected. Other than that. It was ego soft snow today. Not a bad turn to be had. Conditions are getting sketchy however on many trails. We need snow. Temps in the 40’sF or +7-8C

Taschereau was finally opened up today.

Now it is the end of the year. The Edge and Lowell Thomas chairs will be running during the spin festival and on weekends. Ski Patrol at this time of the year is gradually opens the runs as they soften up during the day. Other than that the conditions were great on the open runs today.

Lower Duncan was in really great shape today. Nice soft ego turns

Well Saturday and Sunday was most certainly a contrast. Saturday was sunny with temps in the middle 30’sF or +2C and no winds. Today was 19F/-5C with 10mph winds. Oh and we got 2″ of fluff over night. But with the cold temps it was boiler plate under it.

Saturday evening the kids having fun with the evening activities.

Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski & Snow Report w/video “THUR 19 MAR”

Well it was another great sunny spring day here. Temps got up to 0C or 32F at the top of the mtn. Winds were light about 4mph. Now since it was really warm the last couple of days and it got cold last night a few runs froze up and were not open today. They are the following.

Grand Prix, Zig Zag, Vertige, Danzig, Fripp, Soute Moutons, Les Rapids, Fuddle Duddle, Windigo, Emotion, Lower Ryans.

Now today I was in a Reggae kind of mood.

Upper Nanson had the best snow today. I was doing laps all afternoon long and nobody was on it.

Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski and Snow Report w/videos “GREAT SPRING SKIING”

Man we did not get the rain that they had forcasted. Nope not at all. Instead we were treated to a beautiful sunny spring skiing day. Temps go up to the 40’s or +6C on the mtn. Light winds. Wear lots of sunscreen because you are going to need.

Top to bottom run on the south side.

Now 94 runs are not open. Actually 78 are open. The warm weather is taking it’s toll on some trails. Mainly the glades and double black diamond bump runs on the south face of the mtn. North face is fine in the glades and black diamond trails.

Tremblant’s Daily Honest Ski and Snow Report w/videos “SPRING SKIING SUNNY WEEKEND”

Well this weekend it was sunny and beautiful spring conditions. Temps were in the upper 30’sF or +4C with crystal blue sky’s and very light winds. And it was ego snow to make sweet spring turns on. You see when the temps are like this you can make any turn shape you want and it will look great in this stuff. I love skiing in this.

Now here in the spring is really something special. What is really cool about Tremblant is you have this great unique of cultures all within driving distance of the NE and Ohio valley regions of the states and Ontario. Sit in our courtyard one day and just listen to all the different languages being spoken. It’s amazing and so wonderful to experience. I’m not trying to be super selling dude here. Just telling you how cool it really is.

And this band rocked in the St Bernard Place square

Now in the spring you really should check out the square. You can have all kinds of fun just taking in the scene. I was testing a new camera while these two little boys were trying to get the fountain going.
